You are completely right!
The unions and member's greed has equaled and perhaps surpassed that of upper management.
Unfortunately this does not only go for the auto industry. It is prevalent everywhere.
Shame on us all for letting this happen.

Let me give you a brief history of unions. If it were not for the unions, these manufactures would still have child labor in their plants! You be making about
$1.25 per hour, no benefits, no retirement, nothing! The UAW United Auto Workers have made concession after concession's to these corporate fat cats (the big three). They thanked them by closing plants. sending the plants to Mexico and other countries to save labor costs, anyone see the prices of these cars drop as a result NO! we haven't in fact the prices have steadily gone up. More profit again for the fat cats! The product stinks! put together by Mexican labor making about $1.25 per hour and the big three do not stand in back of their products!Approx 15 years ago Chrysler was bailed out, we'll their back with their stinking hands out again, this is not going to stop! because every business that made bad decisions and got themselves into the red are going to come and ask for their bail outs at our expense. Who bails us out when we mis-manage our monies? NO ONE!
We need to stop this insane give away of public monies to these corporate fat cats, they're not our friends! they over charge us, give us cars that are substandard because unqualified people in foreign countries are putting them together, and the big three do not stand in back of their product!
I say screw them! let em go down, they'll reincorporate and come back, if not ? that's ok too. The foreign manufactures make a superior product and stand in back of their products. Have anyone noticed that the big three have send their plants into Mexico, making crap, reaping a big profit and they're going down the tubes, while the Japanese have opened many plants in our county employing our citizens and they're doing very well. Too bad the big three can't see this. It's called corporate greed here people and our government has allowed and encouraged these fat cat corporate greedy pigs to continue to rape the American tax payer.
